#4 Let Me Hear You Say Hip Hop!

I have a friend, Mr. Kobayashi, who is very active in the local hip hop community and frequently hosts shows.  Every so often one of these shows will be bigger and more elaborate, or is centered on a central theme.  There is a local radio show that features local artists and does a great job of helping unknowns get their foot in the door.  My friend works a great deal with the Edutainment Hip Hop Show and decided it was time to show some appreciation.  He threw them a show to thank them for the great work they do.  ENJOY!

I have since shot several videos for Mr. Kobayashi and you will probably see more on here in the near future, but this was our first endeavor together.  I did all of the shooting and he took care of the editing so that he could complete it at his pace.  This was the first opportunity I had the use the 5D Mark2 in a live setting.  The low light capability was amazing and got cleaner more crisp pictures than the $10,000 Sony that was holding the master shot.  It is difficult to keep coming up with creative shots for so many performers and it keeps you thinking, but there are some shots that I am very proud of such as the shot of the cell phone.
